Purpose
The Black Student Union (BSU) was founded in the spring of 2005. The purpose of the Black Student Union at Union College
is to enhance and solidify the diversity initiative on campus surrounding African American issues. The goals of this
organization are to promote education on issues pertaining to black student life and black history through the use of campus
wide events and discussions. The Black Student Union will work to enrich an already thriving college community full
of diverse ideas, and it is in our vision that this group will leave a legacy behind for not just African American students,
but for ALL students that will attend Union College thereafter.
